italy are through! no thanks to the referee's red card to materazzi, but thanks to totti's well-placed penalty. i can hear the boo-hoos from down under already.

me supporting italy may seem kinda ironic, given how i'd like the more adventurous and exciting teams to win the "cup that fits all". but seriously, what's there not to like about italy?

apart from the kit's nice blue colour, there're plenty of reasons for my italia-philia. like pasta, the sicilian countryside, D&G (and italian fashion), and dark-haired girls with beautiful eyes.

i have to visit italy some day.
