my job takes me to new places to see and do new stuff. not the most pleasant places, but it's still an eye-opener in any case.
yesterday i went to the boat yard to take pictures of the boat and stuff onboard for the catalogue. the yard stinks. try putting the smell of salty seawater, a little bit of garbage and rotting mud together. woohoo. new fragrance for chanel.

there's risk of falling into the water if you trip over one of the numerous ropes and knots on deck. i tripped, but i didn't fall into the bath tub. lucky me.

lots of contruction was going on at the yard yesterday. the hull of a new ship was being welded together while boats were being washed at another corner. it was basically a construction site for boats. and i was walking around in a casual tee, jeans and sneakers. no helmet, no boots. but i survived.

these massive cranes are used to lift boats onto shore. hopefully i'll get to go to a dive site in future.
