3 lessons from M:I:III

3 things we've come to expect of hollywood blockbusters:
- a mission is never impossible, even against insurmountable odds.
- villains always go for the hero's girlfriend/fiancee/wife, and the hero can't do shit about it.
- the hero can never die, even after getting fried by a massive electric jolt.

3 things we can expect of a tom cruise flick:
- at 1.68m, he never looks shorter than any of his co-stars.
- he always gets the girl.
- he does more jumping around than on a sofa on the oprah show.

and finally, 3 things i've learnt from M:I:III:
- tom cruise actually knows how to cry for someone else besides katie holmes.
- three babes are better than one: one to kill off dramatically, one to flash her sexy bits, and one to smooch with tom.
- a lamborghini is hot, a slinky red dress with an ultra-high slit is hot too. add maggie Q and it's hot hot hot, three times over.
