one night in singapore

i have a blog. i'm singaporean. what do i do? i express my views on a very singaporean issue on my blog. duh.

an article on page 5 of the main section of the 20 february 2006 edition of the straits times:
"nanyang poly probing sex video clip"
apparently some girl called tammy had her mobile stolen by some very jealous girl. jealous girl looks through the mobile and discovers a DIY sex video. jealous girl enjoys a bit of porn-viewing. jealous girl then decides to share it with the whole world (how generous). she sends the clip all over the internet (ah, the wonders of the internet). tammy is understandably upset.

does this story sound familiar? i think i hear paris hilton saying "i do!".

i still don't know why people even bother filming themselves screwing if it's not intended for everyone to watch. i know, it's not exactly family entertainment. but why bother doing it when there's always the all-too-familiar danger of the video getting into the wrong hands?

anyway, tammy, some advice for you: go claim the video back. i mean, it's not possible to stop it from spreading. but after all that hard work, you deserve to get some credit back. girl, your 15 minutes of fame doesn't come knocking on your bedroom door everyday. learn from paris! rope in an ad agency. make a dvd. call it "one night in singapore". we all know sex sells. you can be tabloid fodder for a month!

oh and you don't have to be an outright slut after the video hits platinum sales. just smile in a very demure way and wave. then go all girly when people interview you. it's all called marketing. paris will be so proud.
