chicken in michigan

i got an email from UMich on sunday morning: "We have made a decision on your admissions application to the University ofMichigan. You may review our decision at our Wolverine Access website."

where college applications are concerned, the word 'decision' is a really big and important one. i was skeptical that they could give me a decision this early. after all, their application deadline was the last to close, their application forms were the last that i sent in and they were the last to inform me that they had received my documents.

due to their online portal only operating during their office hours, i couldn't check that so-called decision for the whole of sunday as i needed to sleep early for my morning run in camp. that only prolonged the agony.

so, i came home today and the first thing i did was to check the portal. surprise, surprise, they did give me a decision: i was accepted. take a look at the video.

i'm happy, but not over the moon. my hopes are pinned on stanford and berkeley.

well at least i'll be assured that i can have some chicken in michigan.
