DC day three
we began the day with a first encounter with...
 chocolixir. decadent indeed. satisfaction guaranteed.

 the outside of union station. the weather was incredible. perfect for our carry-your-backpack-and-visit-places-like-a-hippee day.

DC is really a monument city. there's plenty to see but not much to do. anyway, from the front of capitol building, you can look all the way down to the lincoln memorial.
DC is really a monument city. there's plenty to see but not much to do. anyway, from the front of capitol building, you can look all the way down to the lincoln memorial. i felt dwarfed by the massive fortress that was capitol building. then again i felt empowered with standing in front of it.

alright, i DO remember the name of this one. it's the supreme courts.  what really amazes me is the amount of detail that goes into the contruction of the buildings; everything from the pillars to the sculptures feel like they've been put in place for a greater purpose and meaning.
